BPL Cup

To All Merthyr Club Bowlers and Staff:

I am proud to announce that Bowls Australia has selected Merthyr Bowls Club to hold a qualifiers round for the BPL Cup for this season! Thanks to a lot of hard work conversing with the Bowls AUS Home and Regional offices they will be holding a qualifier’s event at Merthyr Bowls on Saturday 28 November 2020 from 8:30am to 12:45pm.

All participating players must be a registered financial member of Merthyr Bowls Club for this calendar year for the competition. The entries are restricted to 4 teams, consisting of 3 players, playing 2-bowl triples. Given this late entry, the preliminary rounds must be finished by Nov 29 as the State Finals are being played on Dec 6 at Pine Rivers. The BPL Cup is an open gender competition and ask that you do not submit your application if you are unable to represent your team on 6 December 2020 should you win this qualifying event. The cost to play is $60 per team.

• 2 sets of 5 ends, 1 end tie-break if required.
• Teams of 3 or 4 players, playing 2-bowls triples.
• Winner of State Finals win a paid trip to the National.
• Finals at Club Pine Rivers on 6 December 2020. * Contingent on relaxed COVID – 19 restrictions.
